Founded in 1983, Hanna Andersson is a premium Scandinavian-inspired children’s lifestyle brand based in Portland, Oregon.

Background

Hanna’s mobile experience was disconnected from the desktop site. With mobile grabbing more share of traffic—38% total year average and 50% on flash events, it was paramount that the new design be optimal for smartphones and tablets.

Better align brand positioning, allow for telling better product stories and improve the customer journey to complete the purchase.

Approach & Solution

Reflecting its brand which is about celebrating life’s simple moments of joy and letting kids be kids; this new responsive design is fresh, fun, fluid and flexible, optimized not only for mobile but for all viewports. Using a card-style design, we’re able to effectively tell product stories to our customers; with images and video to provide useful information in a variety of formats.

Highlighting customer reviews on the homepage with featured social media feed of customers’ photos and quick category shopping to help increase customer engagement, and minimize friction/frustration by guiding customers in finding what they are looking for and providing more ways to shop.
